Our Path through 2011

There will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path...  But this, far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.  Sir Winston Churchill

How is your year going so far?  The Christmas decorations are put away, but I'm still enjoying my winter deco of snowmen and my ice-skate tree in the kitchen sitting room.  My snowmen warm me up on cold, gray days, and my "Let it Snow" signs came to pass when it snowed again last week.  Yes, I'm one of those California girls who now live in the south that jump up and down when I see snowflakes falling.

Who's having a birthday this year?  Glad to see all those raised hands!  My big sixty-five is creeping up and there is excitement in the air!  I am honestly looking forward to celebrating another year of life!  Like my girlfriends Debbie and Barbara, some of you have literally fought to live thus far.  Keep fighting!  You are touching and influencing those around you more than you know.  We all need someone to look to for inspiration.  And who knows, YOU might be that someone that your neighbor, your sister, or your co-worker is looking to.  We're walking together, so let's reach out and hold one another's hand.

Have an AMAZing first-month-of-the-year!  Remember, spring is just around the corner...well, sounds good anyway.

Oceans of blessings and see you on the radio!

So we have been greatly encouraged in the midst of our troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith.
I Thessalonians 3:7  NLT

  1. "...have FOUGHT to live this far."
    That line touches me deeply
over the brave ones who actually
choose to be intentional about living
and brave in the midst of their present.
So many just while away the hours and years,
coping and surviving and not really engaging
    in their everydayness.
    They simply exist.
Those who really live....even fight to live,
    they are heros.
I want to become more and more of one
    who really LIVES!!!!
    Thanks for the reminder, Sharon:)
