Oh, Lord, to hear your voice and know what You would have me do.

All is well in my world...how about yours?

As women, we all have our crazy, busy, confused, whirlwind moments. So when the peaceful, lazy, clear, ahhh moments arrive, we must take time to bask in them. This morning I sat on my sofa gazing outside at the calm lake, the gentle breeze, and as the birds chirped--and the air conditioners hummed--my fingers took me to Proverbs 3. What a perfect place for me today. I've had a fun, blessed week with our Swedish friends. They leave today so I'm a little sad at their departure, but happy at the wonderful time we've had to make more memories than we can remember. We go back twenty years, so we laugh when one of us brings up a memory that the rest of us has forgotten! "Do You Remember" is the game.
Last night was 'good news' night for me: First, my dear friend, Debbie, who lives in So-Cal, had a successful surgery yesterday. The lump was removed with no other signs of cancer! She's moving slow--can't jog for a week--but will be able to lounge by the pool today. Second, my local friend, Cheryl, sold two of her houses in two days--two days ago--so her and her family will be able to move to California by the end of this month. I'll miss her, but she is on a journey that God is directing, and I know better than to get in His way!
So when I read my Bible this morning, this popped out at me.:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (for you, Cheryl)
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. (for you, Debbie)
And for all who will claim God's words today, you shall have strength and direction in every area of your life. Isn't that what its all about?
I hope you are taking time to enjoy these lazy days of summer. Go hug a tree, then go find someone who really needs one. Hugs to all you WINners out there!
Oceans of blessings, Sharron
