What A Difference A Day Makes...

When you're traveling, you are what you are right there and then.  People don't have your past  to hold against you.  No yesterdays on the road.

Manuscripts and Radio Shows.  Sounds like a great title for a song, huh?  Have you ever been going along, minding your own business, when all of a sudden--POW!  An incident happens to jar you awake (like that first cup of Swedish coffee in the morning)?

Since the last time I blogged, not one, but two exciting things have happened to me.  After finishing my morning workout Monday morning, I took a quick look at my emails before jumping in the shower.  There it was, a letter from a publisher, asking to read my manuscript!  Jump, jump.  Dance, dance.  You writers out there know what I'm talkin' about!  Your world stops for just a few minutes and gives you permission to act like a total a--...oops...I mean fool!  So I did.  My husband had no choice but to join in.  "I didn't know you could dance," I blurted as he double-dipped me onto the floor.

Along with the manuscript was a request to fill out an Author Form, which includes a 'chapter-by-chapter' synopsis of my book--a writer's worst nightmare.  It's Saturday, and I've been chained to my iMac all week, hammering away at the keyboard while Popcorn stares up at me with that lost look that says, "Please, when are you going to feed me?"  Oh my!  I forgot to feed the dog, forgot to feed the husband...then I remembered, that's what husbands are for!  Rob's been a champion of a man these past months as I've toiled away at my computer.  Oh, the life of a writer.  Is there no end?  Only when your book is finally published. Oh, wait!  No, I almost forgot--then the marketing of the book begins!  And I refuse to go there this morning; I'm still sipping my first cup of coffee.

My second exciting happening?  I've been invited to be a host on Red River Radio (love that name!)  When I asked Aunt Eunice what she thought about this offer she looked me directly in the eyes and said, "Darlin', with that face, you're better off to stick with radio!"  I took that as a Yes. Her words gave me confidence to accept this golden opportunity. I'll be interviewing authors (I will make you a star!!), and anything else that is thrown on my plate.  I'm looking forward to working with the other gifted and talented women of God on this journey.

So all of you WINners out there, if you're minding your own business, be on the look out for that POW!

I'm must sign off now, and hit the ol' synopsis that is staring at me.  This too shall pass.  In the meantime, have a WINning week!  Oceans of blessings!

We grow like a flower in the field.  After the wind blows, the flower is gone, and there is no sign of where it was.  But the Lord's love continues forever and ever.  Proverbs 103:15-17  NCV
